Join us to discover the secret to creating a rich, smooth cup of cold brew coffee right at home! Of course, coffee is a personal experience. Please feel free to adjust the strength to suit your taste. The recipe below is designed to showcase the true identity of Vietnamese Robusta and is balanced, easy to enjoy for most coffee palates.
What you need: MissTrang’s Vietnam Robusta Signature Coffee Beans (Medium Roasted) - 100% Pure High Quality Vietnamese Robusta Whole Beans.
Grinding size: Coarse or medium-coarse
Ratio: 1:10 (50g of coffee grounds, Vietnam Robusta Signature: 500ml of water).
Tool: Glass coffee server with lid, coffee filter bag, or fine sieve.
-
- Add 50g of ground coffee to a glass coffee server.
- Bloom coffee. Pour 100ml of hot water (92-94°C) in a spiral motion from the middle for 1 minute and 30 seconds (use double the amount of water as coffee).
- Pour the remaining 400ml of room-temperature water into the coffee server. Stir gently with a spoon to ensure all the coffee grounds are fully saturated. Close the lid securely on the server. Let the coffee server sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
- Put the server in the refrigerator. The brewing time for Robusta coffee should range from 12 to 16 hours.
- After steeping for the complete time, use a filter bag or filter paper to remove the coffee grounds. Pour gently to avoid disturbing the sediment at the bottom of the coffee server.
Result: A pure cup of coffee with a perfectly balanced flavor. Without any harsh bitterness, it offers boldness that highlights notes of chocolate and the richness of brown sugar, with a sweet aftertaste.
After brewing your coffee, you can add oat milk if you like. We recommend a 1:2 ratio (50ml of oat milk: 100ml of cold brew) to achieve a perfectly balanced. For the best flavor and quality, we recommend enjoying Robusta Cold Brew coffee within 3 days of brewing.
