Everyone has different preferences regarding strength, so you can adjust it to suit your taste. The recipe below is designed to preserve the authentic flavor of Vietnamese Robusta coffee, ensuring you enjoy a perfect cup of coffee every morning.
What you need: MissTrang’s Vietnam Robusta Signature Coffee Beans (Medium Roasted) - 100% Pure High Quality Vietnamese Robusta Whole Beans.
Grinding size: Medium fine.
Ratio: 1:8 or 1:10.
Tool: Moka pot, stove, and moka pot paper.
1. Pour 150ml of hot water (about 70°C) into the lower part of the Moka pot. Ensuring the water level stays below the safety valve.
2. Add 18g of ground coffee into the filter basket. Use a spoon to level the surface, but do not tamp or compress the grounds. Put the basket into the lower part of the Moka pot.
3. Put a Moka pot paper filter in the bottom of the upper part of the Moka pot. Rinse it with a little hot water to ensure it sticks to the metal filter and to remove any paper taste. Finally, assemble the upper and lower parts of the Moka pot.
4. Put the moka pot on the stove. Start with high fire for the first minute, and open the lid so you can watch the extraction process.
5. As soon as the coffee begins to drip, reduce the heat to the lowest setting. After 10 seconds, turn off and remove the pot from the stove. After another 5-7 seconds, rinse the bottom of the Moka pot with cold water to stop the extraction process.
6. You will get 45ml – 60ml of coffee with a rich crema. This is the standard ratio. You can drink it as an Espresso, add hot water to make an Americano, or add milk to make a Latte/Cappuccino.
Result: A rich cup of coffee delivers a full-bodied flavor from the very first sip. It stands out with chocolate notes blended with a gentle, subtle bitterness that isn't harsh, creating a well-balanced experience.
